Define how the console will be presented
Decide whether the console must be removed for use or presented from the case at show height. That choice changes the lift path, lid arrangement, operator reach and the space required around the loaded case. Record the intended workflow instead of asking a supplier to infer it from a model name.
Send photographs of the actual console from every side and mark screens, controls, feet and removable accessories. DiGiCo 225 variants and installed options should be treated as buyer-supplied evidence; the product page confirms the case category, not the dimensions of the unit in your inventory.
Map access and cable constraints
Show which connectors remain patched during operation, where cable looms must exit and which ventilation zones may not be covered. A useful drawing separates support surfaces from no-contact areas and shows the full opening path before foam or hardware positions are approved.
Run a tabletop rehearsal with the operator: open the case, raise or expose the console, connect power and signal, reach the rear panel and close the system again. Note hand-clearance conflicts, unstable working positions and any cable that would be pinched by a lid or hinge.
Make the quotation comparable
Ask each supplier to return the same evidence pack: internal layout, operating sequence, closed external envelope, accessory storage plan and the assumptions still awaiting confirmation. Comparable evidence prevents a low initial price from hiding a separate table, missing cable space or an impractical lid-handling step.
Before approval, have both the technician and logistics lead sign the latest equipment record and drawing revision. The acceptance review should demonstrate loading, closing, moving, opening and operating in sequence; any unverified performance claim or fixed specification stays out of the purchase order until documented.
